Mr. Díaz is a Research Engineer of the Nanobiosensors and Bioanalytical Applications group (NanoB2A), lead by Prof. Laura Lechuga, established at the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2). His field of expertise involves integrated photonics, in particular interferometric and nanoplasmonic devices, electronic systems and software development. Among his undertaken tasks we can find the development of firmware to control different electronic systems as well as the implementation of software to improve the control and communication of sensing devices.
He received his Master’s Degree in 2017 at the university of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) while doing a collaboration with the Communication Systems research division of the Institute for Applied Microelectronics (IUMA), lead by Dr. Alfonso Medina Escuela. His final
project was entitled “Development of an electronic system for sports training tracking based on inertial units and pressure sensors in footwear” where he was able to develop a functional prototype.
